The exceptional seafood at this hidden gem in a small town exceeded all expectations. We sampled all the small plates on the menu, along with my husband's lobster and chips. Each dish was beyond our standards; the chips were perfectly crisp, the sauces were delicious, and the seafood was exceptionally fresh. We highly recommend this place.

Lovely experience, great service and dog friendly indoors and out. We had the pan fried mackerel special which came with a lovely salad, and a cheese, leek and caramelised onion tart with some sour dough bread. Everything was really tasty and fresh. As an aside, I had one of the best cappuccinos ever, that I can't stop thinking about (no idea why it was so good!) I really recommend a visit to Tides! One note from when we visited, although they were open until 3pm at lunchtime, understandably the kitchen closed about 30 mins earlier to accommodate for that.

Amazing food. In terms of quality and value for money. Beautifully made and presented. Would recommend their lobster as a main and their brownie with cream as a desert. Molly was very kind and courteous while serving us. (Dog friendly)

Wonderful little bistro which serves exceptional seafood, best scallops we've tasted! Great wine as well. Also sells a wide variety of produce in their deli shop which were difficult to resist. We were very impressed with the staff, very professional and likeable. Will return again next year when holidaying in the area. Thank you.

Second visit to the Tides restaurant, we had eaten here before 2 years prior on a previous visit to Newport. The food was exceptional, our party of four all enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal. The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming and accommodating our needs. I would highly recommend booking in advance and eating here.
